Flash Intros:

1. How to get a flash intro onto a website?
For getting a Flash intro onto your website, simply copy the HTML code onto the homepage and put the intro file in the same folder as the homepage. (This is so the homepage can show the intro because the html code tells it to look in the same folder for the intro).

Basically use the html code provided from < http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/single_intro_builder.html > and don't forget to add the intro.swf file to your website too (add it to the same folder as your webpage that you would like to add the intro html code to).

To get your page on the web after it is finished, consider viewing this guide on putting your website on the internet, otherwise known as uploading your website:
http://www.directnic.com/help/faq/index.php?question_id=57

2. How do I show a Flash intro before my main start page on my website?
If you would like to show a Flash intro before your start page, consider saving your current start page as something like main.html and then creating a new blank default.html file and pasting the Flash intro html code into that document. Don't forget to link up the new Flash intro default.html page with the page you would like visitors to see after the intro, which is now the main.html or what you renamed the other page too.
Basically, it's like you move your main content to a new page like main.html, and then save your Flash intro on the first page visitors see which is the default.html (I presume, might also be index.html for other websites.) and finally you link the Flash intro with the webpage you would like people to see afterwards, the main.html. You can also create a link like this:
<a href="main.html">Skip Intro</a>
And put this in the html code of the Flash intro page default.html to have a link to where you moved your main content.

3. How do I change the enter button's page that it redirects to?
Please see this page for an answer to your question:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/howtoinstall-redirect.html

( Back To Questions )

4. Where does the enter button go to?
The enter button goes to a page called index2.htm

So to show a page after the Enter button is selected, name that webpage as index2.htm (note the .htm and not .html extension. The 'l' is what is missing).

( Back To Questions )

5. Right click and get "Movie not loaded", how do I fix this?
The issue of the "Movie not loaded" response appears to be because the design was not uploaded onto your website. The design is the .swf file that was named something like: flash.swf or intro.swf. The movie not loaded issue probably occurs because the Flash file is being asked for but isn't there.

To fix this, simply add the .swf file that was included with the intro text to your website. This file should be something like flash.swf or intro.swf. You can get this file in one of the steps after creating the intro at:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash_intros.html

6. How do I add a flash intro to a webpage created with Microsoft Publisher?
If you are still interested in adding the Flash to your website with Microsoft Publisher, please see this resource:

http://www.forum4designers.com/message215558.html

Basically use the html code provided from < http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/single_intro_builder.html > and don't forget to add the intro.swf file to your website too (add it to the same folder as your webpage that you would like to add the intro html code to).

( Back To Questions )

7. How do I add a Flash intro to my freewebs.com website?
Here are the steps to having a Flash intro on your webpage, first make sure you have a webpage to put the Flash intro on. You can get a free website from www.freewebs.com if you want.

1.) Create a Flash intro at: http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash-intro-builder.html
2.) On the download page, make sure to follow the steps. First, right click on the 'Right Click Here, and click Save Target As...' blue link. This is to download your logo.
3.) Next, copy the text from the white box by clicking in the white box where it says '<object' and right clicking on it and selecting 'Select All' then right click again and select 'Copy'.
4.) Now go to the webpage you have and would like to add the intro to. Use any program you may currently use to edit the html or create webpages with and add the html code you coped before by pressing the keys Ctrl+V.
5.) Next, take the .swf file downloaded from Step 2 above and move this to the same folder or location as the webpage you added the html code you copied too.
6.) Last, put your website files (the webpage and the .swf file which should be in the same folder together) on the internet using the method you currently use. If you don't use any way of putting webpages online yet, consider trying out www.cuteftp.com or www.wsftp.com which are programs to help put files online. If you signed up for a freewebs.com website account, you might want to use the upload tool they may have.

That's it! Consider reviewing these instructions again if you have any trouble.

Adding an intro from the intro section ( http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash_intros.html ) is similar but instead you would skip the copying the html and just put the intro files that you downloaded on your website.

8. How do I add a Flash intro to Xanga?
If you would like to add a Flash intro to your Xanga site you should use the header feature in Xanga.
You can get more information about adding a Flash design to your header feature on this page:
http://help.xanga.com/howdoiaddflashbanner.htm

You will need a few things first before adding the Flash to your Xanga account.
1. You need a website file host (you can get a free website with Geocities server to put your Flash design on)
2. You will need to create the Flash intro you created again and use the Flash html code that is presented that looks like the Xanga example of the Flash code.
You can create the Flash intro (if this is the one you were using before at:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash_intros.html )

Adding the HTML code and the Flash can be a bit difficult if this is your first time. I would suggest if really would like to do this then you should try it, but if not it may be a hard thing to do to put a Flash design to your header.

( Back To Questions )

9. How do I add my Flash to my yahoo SiteBuilder website?
The HTML code should be pasted into the html code of one of your webpages you edit. I'd suggest using the add html feature and then adding the Flash and the HTML code from the creator from www.freeflashintros.com

Consider seeing this page for more details on adding Flash to your Sitebuilder webpage:
http://www.amarasoftware.com/tutorials/yahoo-site-builder.htm

Builders (Menu Builders & Flash Intro Builder):

1. How do I put my navigation menu that I created on my website?
When you make a Navigation Menu at:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/builders/navigation.html

After clicking the create button, (step 1) you should first right-click on the underlined "Here" word that shows on the grey page that pops up. Then select "Save Target As.." from the right-click menu.

Save the menu file to your desktop. Afterwards, you should add this file to your website (use any method you currently use to add files to your website or try FTP) where you also copy the html code that it mentions to copy (copying the html code is step 2). The code is in the white box on they grey page that pops up after clicking the "Create!" button for creating your Navigation Menu.

( Back To Questions )

2. I'm using the Flash intro builder, but I don't see my text. How do I put the files together to use your Flash intro builder?
The process is actually really easy. Basically, the html text page that has the html code the Flash intro builder gave needs to be in the same folder as the Flash .swf file. This is because the html text page calls upon the swf file. Try putting the swf file into the same folder that has the html text page. Then view the html text page, and if you have the html code the intro builder gave you after creating the intro, you should see your intro on your html text page.

Here's a link to the intro builder should you wish to try creating an intro again:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash-intro-builder.html

( Back To Questions )

3. Can I change the word "menu" from the Drop down menu builder you have?
I looked into this but it appears the word menu is inside the Flash movie so it can't be edited easily (if at all).

You might want to try something like the Top Bar at:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/builders/top_bar.html

( Back To Questions )

4. I've added the flash intro builder html code to my website but I only see a black background, no intro. What am I not doing?
To see the intro on your website, simply copy
the HTML code onto a webpage like you've done and put the intro file in the
same folder as the webpage. (This is so the webpage can show the intro
because the html code tells it to look in the same folder for the intro).

If you upload the intro in the same folder as the webpage you would like to
show the intro on and have copied the html code from: <
http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/single_intro_builder.html > to that
webpage then the intro should show on it.

Flash Chat Box:

1. Why does it take forever for my chatbox or chatroom messages to show?
The messages should show up right away for the chatbox, it may be the internet browser or internet connection you are using which causes the delay.

The chatroom checks for new messages every 5-10 seconds I believe, so it may be your internet connection or the load on FreeFlashIntros.com that could be causing the delay.

I would suggest using a different internet browser or trying it on a different computer to see if there still is a delay. If there is, then it would appear it could be the internet connection or just a heavy load on FreeFlashIntros.com.

( Back To Questions )

2. How do I show the chatbox on my website rather than in a popup window?
You can copy the html code from the below link to show the chat box on your website (make sure to replace the YOUR_USERNAME with your actual username name in the website link below as it uses that to generate the code for your chatbox and cb for the chatbox type (may be cb, c, or another symbol).
http://www.freeflashintros.com/cb/getcode.php?cb=YOUR_USERNAME

( Back To Questions )

3. How do I show the chatbox to my friends?
I'd suggest sending the link you received when you registered your chatbox to your friends. It should have been sent to you in an e-mail titled something similar to "Your Flash Chat Box Registration."

Or if you know your username, replace the YOUR_USERNAME below with your chatbox login username, then access the webpage which shows your chatbox on it (the cb may be different):
http://www.freeflashintros.com/cb/cb.php?cb=YOUR_USERNAME

You also can copy the html code from the below link to show the chat box on your website (make sure to replace the YOUR_USERNAME with your actual username name in the website link below as it uses that to generate the code for your chatbox). Also note the cb may be different like c.
http://www.freeflashintros.com/cb/getcode.php?cb=YOUR_USERNAME

( Back To Questions )

4. I would like my account deleted, how do I get my account deleted?

( Back To Questions )

5. I can't post any messages in my chatbox why?
I would guess if the chatbox loads and you can see it's grey colors then it could be because the username is not in the html code.

If you know your username, replace the YOUR_USERNAME below with your chatbox login username, then access the webpage:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/cb/cb.php?cb=YOUR_USERNAME

Try talking posting a message in it. If you can, then the html code you have on your site to show the box is incorrect and should be checked to see if your username is in the html code (it appears twice like ?u=Your_Name_Here).

Flash Guestbook:

1. How can I show my Flash guestbook on my website?
If you want you can use an iframe html code on your
page to show the guestbook inside of one of your webpages. The code looks
like:

<iframe width="500" height="500"
src="http://www.freeflashintros.com/gbs/gb.php?gb=Your_UserName_Here"></ifra
me>

Replace the Your_UserName_Here and or possibly the entire http://www. in the
quotes (" ") to show your guestbook. This is because some guestbooks use a
slightly different url to show the guestbook.

( Back To Questions )

2. I would like my account deleted, how do I get my account deleted?
Thank you for your message. You actually don't need to delete your account, if you don't use it, it will simply stay in the database.

( Back To Questions )

3. How can I save, edit or delete guestbook messages?
To let you know, the guestbook automatically saves the messages. You can view the messages posted when you access your guestbook. As for deleting messages, you can do that in the Guestbook Control Center:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/gbs/index.php

Click the 'Edit a Guestbook Entry' link to edit or delete messages.

( Back To Questions )

4. How much is it to remove the FreeFlashIntros.com link from under the guestbook?
If you would like, you can have the link removed for $9.95, this was the price used before in the original guestbook system. Please visit this page for more information:
http://www.freeflashintros.com/features/flash_guestbooks_rm.html

( Back To Questions )

5. How do I erase all the entries from my guestbook?a
You can erase all entries by creating a new guestbook at the following url ( http://www.freeflashintros.com/features/flash_guestbooks.html ) and using the new guestbook instead. You also can use the Guestbook Management center to remove entries at ( http://www.freeflashintros.com/gbs/index.php ).

Flash Website Builder:

1. Can images be uploaded to the Flash Website? (Most Asked Question)
Currently image uploading with the flash website builder is not enabled because of the way the builder is configured. If you would like to use images, please see a similar Flash builder at Flash builder.net (link opens in new window).
( Back To Questions )

2. How do I save the website?

There is a Save Website button in the upper corner of the builder that allows you to save the files and the text involved with your website. Click this button to get to the files and the html code / text you will need to have your working website. If you have already completed this step, the next step would be to put the files onto your website by the preferred method you current use to add files to your website.
After saving the design with the 'Save as target..' when you right click on the link that says so, you will need to put the Flash files onto your website. To do this you will need to use an FTP program (try a http://www.google.com/ search for FTP program).

Basically you transfer the contents of the site to
your website (where ever you have your website hosted [aka located]). This
may be a bit complicated to do, so I would suggest trying this similar Flash
Website builder which hosts the files for you so you don't have to save and
move the website files. Here's the link to this builder's site:
http://www.flashbuilder.net/

( Back To Questions )

3. Can I use the SiteBuilder with FreeWebs.com?a
No, I believe you can't use the SiteBuilder as I think the hosting service on freewebs.com may
be blocking the content.txt text file from being used with the Flash file.

( Back To Questions )

4. I try creating a link with the html editor but it just shows the html code?
I would guess that because it appears like html code because the Flash text editor is a bit different from html, so try the link button. I'd suggest when you would like to link and have it look like a link:

First select the text, then click the little button above the text editor that looks like a chain link, then, type in your url there. It will then do the html automatically.

Try the little chain link button out, it's like an '8' on it's side above the big white text editing area. < http://www.freeflashintros.com/SiteBuilder/ >

5. How do I put my website on the Internet?
To get your page on the web after it is finished, consider viewing this guide on putting your website on the internet, otherwise known as uploading your website:

( Back To Questions )

6. Using a site from the SiteBuilder with GeoCities?
When uploading the content.txt with Geocities.com, check to make sure the content.txt has uploaded after by accessing it at something like: http://www.geocities.com/YourWebsiteName/content.txt or where ever you uploaded the file. If the page appears however, this may mean that you can upload but that the content can't be "called" from the Flash website. For example it's like the Flash website can't get to the content.txt.

Other Questions:

1. Why don't I get the source code if I purchase a game seen on FreeFlashIntros.com?
The Flash games featured on FreeFlashIntros.com weren't developed by me.

Purchasing either of the games doesn't come with the source code, purchasing them is like purchasing any game, it just means you get to play it (although you may get more depending on which you purchase as there are type different companies providing the games seen on FreeFlashIntros.com)

The games featured by one company are seen at: http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/get-a-free-flash-arcade-demo.html
The games featured by the other company are featured at: http://www.freeflashintros.com/flash/flash_games.html
